All participants are required to register for the CRC by the end of September 2010. However, the scheme administrators have indicated that the process of checking identities will need to be carried before any organisation can successfully register for the scheme, and participants should allow at least two weeks for this to happen.

In order for participants to register for the CRC, the group structure will need to be identified on 31st December 2008 and verified through the use of the Companies Act tests. Information on all mandatory and voluntary half hour meters during 2008 will also need to be submitted to the scheme administrators, together with information on total electricity supply.

Participants should aim to register before the end of August 2010, to enable the scheme administrators to complete registration checks before the 30th September deadline and avoid any subsequent late application fines.
